Thank you to everyone who came to our fundraiser for Mean Hakeem, as he makes his debut in the UFC

Support Mean Hakeem

Your support is huge.

When a UFC fighter is first trying to get off the ground, it's financially difficult, and it makes it so that when you have a training camp alot of the times you have to work a full time job making it difficult to focus on your debut.

The support from fundraisers like this go a long way and it allows us to give Hakeem the financial support so that the can focus on getting ready for his UFC debut.

Lets keep the momentum going!

Share this blog with your friends and colleagues and lets support this young man, born and raised in Calgary, to have the best chance at success by attending a train camp in Ireland with famous coach John Kavanagh (Conor McGregor's Coach).

Calgary’s Hakeem Dawodu recently signed a 4 fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Hakeem has a long history as both an amateur and professional Muay Thai fighter before switching to MMA 6 years ago under Champion's Creed MMA. He is currently an undefeated professional MMA fighter with a 7-0 record.

The biggest challenge for any up and coming fighter is always financial. The fighter will maintain a full-time training schedule and fight for very small purses. This forces the fighter to hold down a full-time job. The ideal scenario for any athlete is to be able to solely concentrate on their training. Donations to events like this go a long way in helping Hakeem focus 100% on his UFC debut. (First fight announcement coming soon).

We are excited to officially announce Hakeem will be traveling to SBG in Ireland for his 7-week camp allowing him access to many high-level sparring partners and great coaching to sharpen his game. I will also be joining Hakeem in Dublin for part of his camp.

Hakeem’s record:

  • Pro MMA 7-0, 5 KO's
  • Muay Thai 9-0, 7 KO's
  • Pro WMC Intercontinental World Champion 67kg
  • Amateur Muay Thai 42-5 15 KO's
  • Multiple world titles and Gold and Silver medals at IFMA championships
